I just got done with a run in Rochester, MN with headliner and good friend, Jason Russell.  That guy is hilarious!  If he is ever in your area, I recommend you to go see him.  He has been in this business for I think 18 years and he is gooood.  He is also one of the most fun comics to go on the road with.  He is like a big fun kid.  Actually, one of the days at the hotel, I was sleeping and all of the sudden I hear this super loud banging on the door and a foreign accent asking me if I want my room serviced or whatever.  I knew  Jason was just messing around as he always does so I shouted out, “Yeah, yeah, hand on a second.  I gotta pull my weiner out of the ice box here.”  I open the door and nobody was there.  I like down the hallway and see a maid walking away from my room.

I am also very excited as I have been really energized as far as writing and I have quite a bit of new material that I am very pleased with.  If you are in the Milwaukee area, I will be at the comedy cafe at the end of June.  Check it out.  Also, check out Jason Russell’s webiste at www.jasonrussell.net

It is about midnight.  I am home from the Comedy Club in the Wi Dells.  Tonights show was alright.  It was odd because it was the “family show” and I could tell half the crowd, the young adults, were wanting a more adult show, and some of the kids, when I would switch gears, wanted more wiener-jokes.  (me, too, kids.  me, too.)  Anyway, it is almost halfway through June and I am getting into the thick of my huge 3 week straight comedy run, still shooting back to Brookfield to try to squeeze in some hours at the dayjob, or as I like to call it, Shitville.  I read a great article today.  It was an interview with comedian Jim Norton.  That guy is great.  It was really inspiring.  He talks about how much he writes and how that is so important and all this crap that I need to be doing.  I got home tonight and wrote for about an hour and I got some good stuff out of it, I just gotta toss it out there and see what gets a laugh now.    Oh, and apparently my website guestbook has become an open forum for long lost friends to communicate.  That is a-ok with me as long as my website is being used.  Do me a favor and watch a stupid video from the video’s page every once in a while.  I have got some great new ideas for videos in the pan.  Stay tuned…

It is Sunday evening.  I did not go to church again.  I know this is just an excuse, but it is hard to get to church when you are always traveling.  I just got back from Chicago and I had to race back in town because I THOUGHT I had a show this evening.  It was apparently canceled and I was never told.  That was a bit frustrating, but not as frustrating and driving a ways out for a booker to see you, and the booker never shows up.  Oh, well.  That is the business.  I think its pretty shitty that people can and honestly just say, “Thats life in stand up comedy for ya,” and its accepted.  Whatever, though.  That is fine.

I am actually in a pretty good mood.  I am doing a little writing, which is long overdue.  Oh, and I did a little diddling around with my camera today so if you are able, check out the videos page as I added a new dumb little video.  I like it.  I performed a wee bit drunk on Thursday night at the Broadway Center.  That was not my intention and I did bomb horribly which is good to do every once in a while.  Drunk + New Material = sad audience.   However, a big fat kudos to Patrick Schmitz for performing the funniest set I have ever seen him do on that same night.  Way to go, Patrick.  You have made me proud.  Not too many comedians can make a slide whistle work with their routine… and you didn’t either, but god bless the fact that you tried for about 7 minutes!

What a blast.  I just did a show at the beautiful Milwaukee Art Musuem for the Young Professionals of Milwaukee with Mike Marvell, Michael D, and Tanya Atkinson.  It was a lot of fun.  It wasn’t just a standard stand up show.  We kind of did it like an open forum where we could interject on each other as we talked about Milwaukee.  I am glad I did it because it actually forced me to sit down and write about Milwaukee.  I was assigned certain Milwaukee rankings and had to do little blurbs on them.   Example:  Milwaukee’s Seafood Market was ranked 10th in the nation according to Coastal Living Magazine.  I bet we could have made #9 if we didn’t have POOP IN OUR LAKE!  Our lake is so dirty people don’t want to step in it… but we’ll eat things out of it.  That’s like, “Hey buddy, watch out, you almost stepped in dog shit!  That was a close one… Somebody get this guy a fork and knife!”   Hey-o!

I apologize to all of my loyal reader.  I have been really busy (no excuse) and I know I am going to be super busy, but I want to try to keep this updated.  June is going to kill me.  It is the 7th and the next evening I have free to relax is the 29th of June.  That is good and it is also scary.  I am excited, but know I am gonna be freaking out and a bit tired come the end of the month.  I would rather be way overbooked than bored.  I am trying to think of anything else that is new… Not much.    Oh, I was in the June edition of M Magazine, a local Milwaukee publication.  Apparently they are using me as a representation of people in their 20’s in Milwaukee as far as health goes.  I’ll post it and throw it at the bottom of the resume page here.  Hope you are all doing great.
